WhereTheFlock exists so you can find the right birds from real, accountable breeders.

Verified breeder identities

Every seller completes identity verification before their listings go live. Public profiles only show “Identity verified” — never the documents themselves.

Approximate locations

Map pins show a town or general area. Exact home addresses are never displayed unless a breeder runs a public business premises and chooses to show it.

Safe first contact

Enquiries go through WhereTheFlock so you don’t have to share your phone number or email until you’re ready.

Scam reporting

Report suspected scams, misrepresented birds, duplicate listings, welfare concerns or harassment from any profile or listing. Moderators review every report.

Clear marketplace rules

Fraudulent listings are removed and seller privileges can be suspended. Listings expire automatically so stock stays current.

Privacy & POPIA

  • We collect only what’s needed to verify sellers and run the marketplace.
  • Verification details are visible only to authorised administrators and are never published.
  • We store only the last four digits of an ID number for reference; full identity checks are designed to run through a dedicated verification provider.
  • You can ask us to delete your account and personal information at any time.

Buying safely

  • Ask for recent photos or a video call before paying a deposit.
  • Prefer collection or a reputable livestock courier.
  • Be wary of prices that seem too good to be true or pressure to pay quickly.
  • Report anything suspicious — it helps protect the whole community.
